Teaching English
The journal is the main national site for articles and reviews which reflect current practice, developments and debates in all aspects of the secondary English curriculum, building on a tradition of informative, challenging and thought-provoking writing by expert practitioners and researchers in the field. The journal is read by teachers, lecturers, advisers, consultants, researchers and teacher educators in Primary, Secondary and HE English.
The journal is also a location for news and reviews of events, publications and resources relevant to the teaching of English, and aims to record developments in the profession for current and future reference. |
NATE
I have been a member of NATE since the start of my teaching career in 1989. NATE, the professional association for English teachers in the UK, helped to support and inspire me through 14 years as an English teacher and Head of English in two comprehensive schools in Cambridge, and continues to do so in my current work. Having been Eastern Region co-ordinator for many years, I am now a member of the association's management committee, and of its Post-16 and HE Committee.
Membership of NATE brings a subscription to four invaluable publications - English Drama Media, English in Education, NATE Classroom and NATE News - as well as access to a network of inspiring and committed English teachers locally and nationally. |
